Many more wonders of Seattle, WA!
I saw/did:
Popped under the Aurora Bridge to see the Fremont Troll! A troll who bit my foot-ouch! Well, it really was my fault for startling him by jumping up on his arm so quickly! He just let me scramble on up, hole in foot and all now, to sit and take a photo. I was so appreciative that I gave him a kiss. I think it was the twinkle in his eye. Darling, that he was!

Took a walk up the adjacent stairs to the Aurora Bridge walkway to take some scenic photos, that just happened to have that soft grey haze about them that is quintessential Seattle. Some time later, that grey yielded to a pretty rainbow. Lucky me!

Off to Pike Place Market to actually walk and see the rest of the market for the afternoon. Bennett, fellow CouchSurfer, joined me for lunch and a stroll around, full of facts and good jokes. We stopped to see and be thoroughly disgusted by the Gum Wall. Seriously, the smell was so yucky. Tourist attraction or not, but eeeewwwww. It was hard not to be both grossed out and fascinated all at the same time.
We stopped by the Pike Place Fisherman booth to watch them yell, sing and throw their famous fish. I went back later to watch them, and one of the hot fishermen, for a while too!
Right in front of the fishermen booth was the gold donation pig. Got a photo of him too and also a spare stunt pig I spied tucked in the parking garage behind a chain fence! Really! I was momentarily disenchanted. Then Bennett suggested that it was one of the pig statues that they have as art around the market, which is most likely true. Overall, the market was a fun place to spend a few hours of my afternoon!

I spent a huge chunk of my Sunday at Benaroya Hall for a day of free symphony and had a marvelous time! I saw a youth harpist group, who played songs like “Edelweiss”, the song “Falling Slowly” from the movie Once, and one of the Star Wars songs. I saw a string trio from the Seattle Symphony, a jazz duo (sax & piano), which Terris joined me for, and then on to a the full Seattle Symphony, whom I was hoping would play longer, but had the added bonus of hearing a Native American group collaborate with them instead! The audience participated with clapping and I got to hear some lovely Native American flute playing. (We tried waiting to see on of those performances separately, but the performer was very late, so we split from that hall.) The day was really lovely!
As the days chugged on, I visited the Frye Art Museum, which is a small, but interesting museum to see some neat art. Plus, it’s free! I walked downtown to absorb some sunshine and hoofed it to Olympic Sculpture Park, which is associated with the Seattle Art Museum. The main museum was closed, but the park is open to the public year round.

I quite enjoyed my time in Seattle and wished I had more time to spend now, but California & Hawaii await. I can always come back. Always.
Yes, yes – and chocolate soon!
